How should I maintain my asphalt paving?
Proper maintenance of asphalt paving includes sealcoating 1 year after the initial installation and resealing the paving every 2-3 years afterward.
-
How does compaction affect my asphalt?
Asphalt goes through a process of compaction during the paving process. The height of asphalt loses a 1/4 inch for every inch of asphalt installed.
-
How long do driveways last?
With proper maintenance, asphalt driveways can last 15-20+ years - depending on weather and level of wear.
-
How long should I let my newly installed asphalt cure?
We suggest letting new blacktop cure for a year depending on that year's weather.
-
How soon can I drive on a driveway after my service is complete
Before driving on new asphalt, we recommend waiting 2-3 days after asphalt paving, waiting 24 hours after sealcoating, and we recommend waiting 5-6 days before driving over asphalt installed on a freshly laid base. We are happy to go over all your questions during your service as well.

Can I get asphalt in colors other than black?
There is not really any other color of asphalt besides black. Of the two types of sealcoating, one does have a glossier finish and the other is more matte.
